Fundraising by Barclays for Heart Failure Patients
The Barclays team at the Burnley Branch completed a fundraising day in Branch on Wednesday 25th May and on Thursday 26th May 2011 they completed a sponsored walk from Burnley to the Accrington Branch.
In East Lancashire where there are amplified coronary problems the figures look even worse. It is estimated that between 3-5% of the population have Heart Failure which equates to between 10,500 and 17,500 people. Between 700 and 800 are known by the Heart Failure Nursing Team and a number are managed within the GP poulation so where are the other?
